Open Houses & Tours

Open Houses

At St. John's, we think visiting a campus is extremely important, and we look forward to welcoming you to ours. The best opportunity to visit is to attend one of our Open Houses in the fall of the year you apply your child. The Open House is a wonderful introduction to the School and will give you the opportunity to hear remarks from our Head of School and Division Head. You will also have the opportunity to tour the campus, visit classrooms, and meet members of our faculty and student tour guild.

St. John’s School supports opportunities for students underrepresented by ethnicity, gender, race, religion and belief, and sexual orientation to gather and share experiences in affinity groups. Affinity groups are one of many ways to help students develop a sense of belonging in the St. John's community. Both prospective and current families are invited to join us for this information session to learn about the twelve SJS Upper School affinity groups and the Unity Council. Come hear about how we build community by striving to live out the first line of our school’s Statement on Community and Inclusion: “Every member of the St. John’s community will be known and loved.”

FAQs

List of 3 frequently asked questions.

  • When is the best time to tour the campus?

The best time to tour our campus is in the fall preceding the year you wish to enroll.  This timeframe will allow us to share the most current information about St. John’s prior to all application and testing deadlines. St. John’s will have Open Houses this fall for our Lower (Classes K-5), Middle (Classes 6-8), and Upper (Classes 9-11) Schools. Prospective families of current applicants can tour the campus and speak with faculty and students. If you do not attend the Open House but still wish to see our campus, please sign up for a tour date listed above.

  • How can I sign up to tour the St. John's campus? Do I need to submit an application before my family can tour St. John's?

If you are a current applicant, you can sign up for a tour beginning in October, but we encourage you to attend our Open House events. Dates and tour information can be found on this webpage. Attending a tour is not a requirement in our admission process.
